Congratulations to our client, Insurgent Media for Beware of Mr. Baker, winner of Grand Jury Prize in the Documentary Feature Competition at the SXSW Festival 2012. We are excited to have been involved with an award-winning documentary!

We worked with Insurgent Media’s production team to license footage for the documentary Beware of Mr. Baker, chronicling the life of drummer Ginger Baker, best known for playing in Cream & Blind Faith. The film covers his controversial life – from his drug-induced self-destruction to his discovery of Fela Kuti’s Afrobeat. The video that Insurgent Media licensed for the documentary was from our BBC Motion Gallery collection and featured interviews with Ginger Baker, footage of Ginger with his horses, and shots of him playing polo. The clips were juxtaposed with exclusive stories from ex-wives, children and many of the greatest living musicians. To learn more about this documentary, click here.
